The developers

Alessandro Marzani
Dr. Marzani is an Associate Professor at the University of Bologna (Italy). He attendend the University of Bologna (B.Sc. & M.Sc.), University of California San Diego (M.Sc.) and the University of Calabria (Ph.D.). He is an expert in wave dispersion and in Semi-Analytical Finite Element Methods. He developed the underlying core-code of GUIGUW.
Paolo Bocchini
Dr. Bocchini is an Assistant Professor at Lehigh University (USA). He received all his degrees from the University of Bologna (B.Sc., M.Sc. & Ph.D.) but developed most of his Ph.D. dissertation at Columbia University, while being there as a Visiting Scholar. His main research interests deal with computational stochastic mechanics and applications of probabilistic concepts to Civil Engineering problems. He developed the graphical user interface of GUIGUW and its interactions with the computational core-code.

Join our users community!

The best way to receive support on GUIGUW and guided waves in general is to discuss with the GUIGUW developers and all the other users.

Through the GUIGUW users group you can:

- Receive free support from the developers and other users of GUIGUW
- Suggest new features for GUIGUW
- Ask questions about guided waves, their theory and application
- Show off the results that you have obtained in this field
- Share liks to your publications that included the use of GUIGUW or address topics related to it
